Although some areas have been updated, cleanliness was less than subpar and my wife woke up at 2am with bed bug bites. Needless to say we packed up immediately and left!
The room was fine except for the TV not working initially and the A/C acting up the last night of our stay. All the ladies at the front desk were really helpful and our sincere thanks to all of them. I would definitely stay there if I go back to Des Moines.
We stayed here to attend a concert at Vibrant Music Hall. If you're wondering, you can not walk directly across the street. You have to go to one of the stop lights, which doesn't seem like a far walk until you've stood at a concert for 5 hours. The hotel itself is nice. The beds were very comfy, rooms are quiet, and you can block out all light. The breakfast was adequate. The reason I took away one star is because there was hardly any water pressure in our shower.
