When everyone told me I should just give up breastfeeding I found my way to Maine Mother and their amazing team - and thank god! Thanks to them we are still joyfully breastfeeding to this day!
Paula and Nicole are amazing! They have been so wonderful, encouraging and helpful with navigating breastfeeding my son (which has been quite difficult) as a first time mom. They are so knowledgeable and make you feel seen and heard with all the emotions that come with postpartum and feeding your baby. They truly care and our community is so lucky to have them!

As a FTM I had no idea how to handle my daughter suddenly refusing a bottle at 2.5 months. Paula and Nicole worked with us to try every possible thing to overcome this, and when it seemed that I might have to accept that bottles weren’t going to happen, Nicole helped us figure out that extra warm milk in a straw cup was our solution. If you are looking for a lactation consultant, don’t go anywhere else! Paula & Nicole are seriously the VERY best. Before having a baby, I didn’t realize how much of the postpartum experience revolves around feeding your baby (obviously!) and without their support these first few months, I can say with absolute certainty my mental health would not be as good as it is today.
