Great Breakfast! I've only eaten here a couple of times. Once with the old owners, and once with the new ones. I have to say it is much nicer now. They did a great job remodeling the inside. I had a Sante Fe Skillet for Breakfast and it was delicious! The dish had Chorizo in it so I was a little nervous to order it because a lot of places just don't cook Chorizo right or it ends up being too greasy but the cooks at Main Street Cafe cooked it up perfectly. yummy food and nice people I have been going there for 5 years now. I think it's in better shape with new owners, and they are always nice to me. i have 3 kids...one who is 2 and very loud...they never made me feel like I should leave. Food is great. love the lemon rice soup, and blue cheese dressing. I try to go every other Thursday for the soup. Walking distance from my house. Love it.
Terrible Service Ever since this restaurant has been under new ownership the service and quality has been horrible! My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant 3+ times a week and now won't even step foot in there. The quality of food has been terrible and cold. They have served stale bread and old burnt coffee on several occasions and in general are not very friendly or accomodating.
Exceptional Value This restaurant prepares excellent tasting food at reasonable prices with friendly service to match. I ordered a hamburger meal for lunch and it was served with french fries. At no extra cost, they threw in a pickle, bread, and a cookie - all items that came free that were not even listed in the menu. Even the cashier was friendly! This business is clearly one of the top 5% of all family restaurants.
Best for Breakfast This is the best place in downtown Lombard to go for breakfast. It has been there forever and has always offered the greatest breakfast food. The service is great and be sure to get the pancakes. They are soo good! it's a great sunday lazy brunch place to go. Highly recommended!
