This was my favorite sushi place until last weekend. Five of our ten person party showed up on time for the reservation, but they wouldn't seat us until we had 7 show up. We were hoping to be seated, so we could buy drinks and appetizers until the others showed up (who we showed the hostess had texted us saying they were in a cab on their way), but she wouldn't seat us. 2 stars down from 5: A long time returning fan of Maiko. Recently over the past year the quality of the food has seriously been lacking and really quite bad. The rice has been dry or old, the fish cuts have been miniscule, and the rolls have gotten flavorless. I feel the kitchen might need to have their quality standards brought back up and the staff needs to be retrained to recognize what bad food looks like before it hits the table.
