Awesome loose meat sandwiches Small location on a busy street. The building is old and I'm pretty sure it is not handicap friendly. The menu is very simplistic and is mostly just maid rite sandwiches (loose meat), fries, drinks. Offer a few other items. Family owned and operated. Young and friendly workers. It is clean, although old. The tables/chairs don't all match. :-) Fun glass top tables that people put their business cards under so you can see where people are from that have visited there. Off street parking.
The best onion rings!! This is our favorite place to go when we're hungry for tenderloins and onion rings. The onion rings are the best - thin and crispy. It is very family friendly with lots of things the kids will eat. My kids love to study the table tops (people slide photos, business cards and ticket stubs under plexi-glass). It is small and old inside, but the food more than makes up for it.
Good food, interesting decor a must-see in Marion I've been visiting this place for the free b-day meal ever since I was 11 (I'm almost 24 now) and many trips inbetween. The maid rites are by far the best around. I also love the onion rings, very unique. The prices are reasonable...not cheap, but reasonable and the wait staff is courteous. No complaints here! PROS: Good Food, walking distance from most of downtown CONS: hours-they aren't open long enough
OK food A little too cramped, busy, and greasy to be comfortable to me. The Maidrite sandwiches are good, of course, but they also have some great pies for dessert.
Somethings to be desired If it weren't for the genuine Maid Rite sandwich (a darn good one) and the best onion rings around, these people would go out of business. Given the fact that they seem always to be overstaffed - the service is usually awful and the "humorous" signs ("if you don't like our service buy us out") are a pain. PROS: Great food taste CONS: No other taste
Viva Maid Rite! Rolla's Maid Rite is the best! I have ate at two other Maid Rite's and this location not only has the best down home charm, but also the tasiest burger around. I grew up locally and now live in Kansas. So everytime I am home, I am also at Maid Rite. I reccommend a Cheese Rite and Fries, you won't be dissappointed. Great value for your dollar, down home atmosphere, and a place to make your tummy full. My mom loves the fried mushrooms and my grandparents love the fried chicken.
Awesome food with low price! I LOVE Maid-Rite! ALL of their food is amazing and their services is incredibly fast. Maid-Rite is definitely a hole in the wall restaurant but it is definitely a defining place of Rolla. You have to go their and at least get a burger and a concrete. It will be awesome!
Good loose-meat sandwhiches Only people from Iowa know what a Maid-rite is. Yummy loose meat sandwhiches, doused with a healthy helping of ketchup. The fries are super tasty too.
Gotta Try One!!! If you've never had a Maid-Rite, you need to try one!!! We have a long-standing tradition in our household of getting a Cheese-Rite, removing the top bun, taking several french fries and putting them onto the sandwich with a glob of ketchup, returning the bun on top & then eating it.Super Yum!!! The service is great and the prices are very reasonable also. If you get a hankerin' for ice cream, it's the best in town!! (And the best price too!!) We are glad to have Maid Rite here in Rolla!!!
