Mahoney Plumbing has been amazing with a serious problem. Imagine you have an elderly very frail and ill relative living in a house older than the relative, and the sewer fails according to city inspectors. Not a position anyone wants to be in. Through referrals and good luck, Peg and Dan Mahoney of Mahoney Plumbing, serving the North Shore, took the issue and have been marvelous in dealing with the City, the relative’s offspring, and subcontractors. Did not meet my expectations on a few calls so i have switched to a local company that does. My Issues: 1. EXPENSIVE at least 1/3 to 1/2 more expensive than same quality service elsewhere. 2. On one occassion I had to google info on a carrier thermostat with the solution for the worker and I still was charged an outragous amount! 3. Another time they came and saw a faucet issue, did nothing as they could not properly access and charged me $260! Then said part was not available as faucet was no longer made.
