It started out as that special place with the laid back vibe, the awesome seafood and live entertainment that only the locals knew about, but you can't keep something that good a secret forever. Mahi Mah's is all that and so much more. Fish is what we do and we do it to perfection. Grilled, broiled, blackened or bronzed. Or wrapped around sushi rice and wasabi; you decide. Add Wine Spectator's award winning wine list and the largest selection of beers at the oceanfront and you have the makings of a beach memory you won't soo... read more

Very good food with a nice view. Must get their earlier or better to have a reservation if they'll take it. During the peak season - summer - it gets very crowded though. Recommend going in the spring or fall...a little easier to get in, get a table. Food is excellent.
Weather for a beach was not good today and my husband invites me to Mahi Mah’s restaurant for a sea food lunch. The place was not crowded, however looks like a host and a waitress were not happy with our appearance. I never had such rude and unfriendly welcome to any restaurant before. So, I left this place without lunch and have no idea about it quality. The poor customer service made the experience horrible and ruined s rest of the day.
Awesome – took my wife there tonight for dinner. the service was top notch and the food was awesome, finally someone who really knows what blackend really means.
good seafood place – not too fancy that you would have to dress up to go there, and certainly more family oriented than catch31 (which doesn't have a kids menu) this was very busy during a tuesday evening and the food was really good. literally right on the virginia beach boardwalk, the atmosphere was good. one turn off was their menu says their is a $2 charge for sharing one meal, which i thought was bogus. i smashed my food. i got the nightly special of an entire lobster for $15. it was good
Great meal – We were in VA Beach for Labor Day wknd and hadn't had any luck in finding great places to eat. We both are fans of seafood and sushi so this place seemed like a good pick. It was kind of crowded but that was expected, being that it was a busy weekend. We sat outside on the boardwalk which we liked b/c it was a nice night. The calamari was phenomenal! The dipping sauce was a chili type sauce which was very different than I usually have with calamari but I really enjoyed it. I had the sushi/ sashimi combo. At firs... read more
found hair in several dishes, very bad service (server and manager) – Our family went there this Thanksgiving. They had a special Thanksgiving buffet for $25.99/person, and we saw good reviews about Mahi Mah's, so we made reservation for that night. The food tasted okay, but definitely not worth $25.99, no sushi at all, just some baked salmon and seafood soup and Turkey. The worst thing is I found hair on my plate from two different dishes, my husband told the waiter to take the plate away and that I can't finish the plate b... read more
Horrible Service – We were ignored at the door and not greeted by anyone. When we tried to sit ourselves we were told that we had to waitwait (1) to be seated and (2) for a table to be available. I explained than no one had greeted us and showed them that more than 70% of the tables were unoccupied. I felt unwelcomed and as if the restaurant was doing me a favor for letting us stay. The food was just OK and the entrire experience deplorable. Shame on them!
Fun – Mahi Mah's is definitely a good time. Damn expensive however. Its the kind of place to go to celebrate.
Great seafood and sushi with a gorgeous view of the beach. – The Scene This casual spot on the lower level of the Ramada (right on the boardwalk) attracts a diverse crowd, from 20-somethings in jeans and T-shirts to executives in chinos and blazers and sports fans clamoring at the bar. All enjoy a friendly, nautically inspired atmosphere and a spectacular view, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sandy beach and crashing ocean waves. The Food For starters, try the calamari--a heaping portion, lightly fried and serv... read more
