I'm sorry to say Dr. Salam seemed put off with me. He didn't seem to like me questioning his instructions. Although my visit was for a routine colonoscopy and endoscopy I had other issues that I needed addressed, and were not. He seemed to be so sure that my problem was "just my anatomy" and "nothing to worry about" then I was told to "go find another Dr. if I didn't like his explanation". So I did I am now 9 days post op of a Spigelian Hernia repair. No recommendations are coming from me.
Previously a patient of Dr. Kaffity, Dr. Salam’s predecessor before his retirement, We found Dr. Salam to be very personable and very informative. He listend to and tried to answer all of our questions. After having a colonoscopy and an upper G.I. I was very pleased with the explanations of his findings and how thorough these were. I would recommend Dr. Salam without hesitation.
I've had pancreatitis for the last 4 years and have been to 8 or9 different gastroenterology specialist from Cleveland to Toledo and seen about 15+ doctors (including GI's). Dr. Salam is by far the best so far.He has been the only one that listens closely to what you have to say and questions/suggestions on forms of treatment you have. He has done 10+ procedures on me and has adapted his forms of treatment instead of trying the same thing over and expecting different results. Highly recommended.
After upper n lower scope I had more pain ....more complications than I had before he did them. I started having breathing complications.n spitting up black specs which He then blammed my bi polar dis. That I havent been on meds for 6yrs now. Then He gave me a pill that burnt my lips n woke up n cudnt catch my breathe. He replied thats what meds do ..dont take them.
