We ate here for lunch, mid-week. The food was great and dessert, oh my, very large brownie with ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauces. Very good. We will be back.

Cozy cafe in historic St Charles. Spinach quiche was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. Great pastry crust. The spinach, cranberry , feta salad was excellent along side. Wonderful, generous desserts. Blackberry cobbler warm w ice cream doesn’t get much better than that. I’ve tried everything here over the 20 years I’ve been a customer. Many family milestones and celebrations. An absolute gem on Main Street.

Magpies is one of our favorite places to eat in St. Charles. The staff is very good & the food is wonderful, especially the bread pudding.

Beautiful patio, great food, yummy desserts and sweet employees! Love this place!!
I was told this place was really good but I found it to be only fair. The food was average and the service left a little to be desired. I thought I had not been there before, but after eating there I remembered I had tried it once a fairly long time back and wasn't impressed then either, altho this visit was worse.
I had the half and half with the portabella mushroom on whole wheat and the potato soup. It was the best portabella sandwich I have had in a long time. Service was good. The outside dining is nice by the fire. Great place to eat at. Was recommended to us by a local merchant. I will go back soon!!
