Superb craft cocktails!
My husband and I came here in 2014 for the first time. We absolutely loved the decor. The co-owner was behind the bar and was such a delight. They were just opening and we were treated like kings and queens. A year later we came there again and had a fantastic time. Watched the NFC playoff game and stayed for hours. I'm always happy to hear this restaurant is still going strong. Great service, great people that stopping, can't beat that. Looking forward to going there again when we visit San Diego in May
Came here for a holiday party, which makes this review way overdue, but needless to say it needed to be done. The entire firm was beyond happy with a) the service, b) the quality of the food, and c) the space/ambiance of the restaurant. It was a great location for a work event and I believe it was their first time hosting an event at that time (closing the entire restaurant) and they did great. The food and atmosphere at Magnolia gets me to come back over and over. The craft cocktails are my favorite way to end my work week. Perfect spot if you are in the Gaslamp and looking to enjoy yourself without having to wade through a sea of 21 year old kids who are desperately trying to convince themselves that they are cool. Highly recommend it.
I really like this spot on E st, Magnolia has many delicious dishes on their menu! The micro greens salad is my favorite vs. my husband who loved the football rib special $1 per rib!! I had the pleasure of sitting at Magnolia and listen to couple live bands playing. The most interesting band was during St. Patricks Day 2014, the first authentic Irish band I listen to! Great spot friendly crew, I recommend!
