The absolute worst. They must have financial incentives to prevent people from using their health benefits or submitting for healthcare reimbursement. The barriers they create, like 1-2 hour wait times to speak to someone in claims, are unethical and should be illegal. I don't blame the customer service people, but as a company they are shamelessly terrible at providing service to their customers.

I enjoy the part where they have very little options in terms of appropriate providers. It was a blast when they denied a claim from a provider despite explicitly telling me the claim from said provider was covered. Going back and forth on phone calls with strange instructions was quite fun.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been struggling with my mental health so bad the past year and it has gotten to a point where I think about suicide multiple times a day, every day. I have been hospitalized for these thoughts and have been trying to seek help through a partial hospitalization program. My insurance is supposed to cover this but Magellan has denied me. I have filed appeals and my psychiatrist even sent a letter that states that this is a life or death circumstance and that I NEED a PHP program. Yet, Mag... read more

This is the worst Health services you can find. Better don't waist your time calling Magellan.
