Have y’all tried Magee's Bakery down on Main Street? It has been there since the 1950’s. My daughter and I went today and picked up some tarts, croissants, and the best donuts I’ve had in a very long time. The donuts were fluffy and the icing creamy. Absolutely delicious. The croissants were flaky and tender. My mom used to take me to Magee’s when I was a little girl. It was so sweet to spend some time there with my girl.
Had the most amazing breakfast today. My friend Romesh brought us one of everything from Magee’s. Hands down the best bagels and pastries in Lexington!
We are loyal Magee's customers, but the last 2 times we've had them this past month has been a let down. Today I had to come in to get our food, there was once again (second time now) absolutely no gravy on my breakfast hot brown and our food was cold. I'm assuming it was made and sat out for the 45 minutes until our pickup window, even though we arrived 15 minutes before our arrival date. Makes no sense to me why I would want food to sit out and be cold. I highly doubt we will order food from here anytime soon again.
I’ve known this family for many years, wonderful people Really care about the community and have some of the best food in the area. Let’s make sure we help keep these people in business because they have kept a lot of people happy with the food they serve. Hard times are the best times to show support when it’s needed the most.
