I love mafiaoza's!! An incredibly fun atmosphere. I especially love the Tuesday two for one specials!!
This is a pizza place with a fun atmosphere, but it is definitely at its best on Tuesdays when it runs its 2-4-1 specials.
Pretty good pizzas. I wasn't blown away by any particular dish, but the atmosphere was nice and comfortable for our large party. It can get busy when college is in during weekend evenings.
I have to agree with the first review I just read, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, OWNERSHIP AND RUDE RUDE RUDE PEOPLE, we literally witnessed a pleasant young man, preppy dress, but was wearing sandals, so they KICKED HIM OUT, ???? Really, ??? He was a tourist visiting Nashville for the first time with all his friends, and they would not let him in? That is absoultely ridiculous, and just because he was wearing sandals, and you should have seen some of the other riff raff they let in there??? Please do not go here. Overpriced. Service is absolutely terrible. When I told the owner, he told me to "Get out of here." If you want your family to have a terrible time, feel free. But it is a terrible neighborhood restaurant that doesn't care about food quality or service because they are the only pizza place in the area. Please don't waste your time and money like my family did.
My daughter and her boyfriend took me here for dinner and drinks tonight. Being from Chicago I can tell you the pizza is amazing and the pasta out of this world. Their cheese and meat appetizers are also very very good. Service was great, waitress was well informed about wine and the food menu, never had to ask twice for anything. The atmosphere was wonderful. Can't wait to go again and I am very envious of the people that live near the restaurant, if I did I would be there at least once a week!
We were there on the 18th with a large party got in about 7pm. I noticed there were empty tables, we had a party of 16 and one waitress. They were not even busy, but were unable to serve us properly. I ordered the teamsters pizza, the crust was soggy and it had some over done crunchy hamberger on it that was supposed to be sausage. We got ready to go and the checks were all messed up, not even close. Went on Sat. Sep. 22, 2012 - Had the rudest waiter that I have ever met. The manager that came when we asked for one was just as rude. My food was horrible, others at the table did not have any complaints. My pizza was horrible and the waiter and the manager said oh well, it is what you ordered. Eventually they decided to remake my pizza, but I think that by then they did not care how it came out. Not great, but edible. I will not be going back.
See and Be Seen – Only go to Mafiaoza's if you are a "see and be seen" person. The wait is never less than 30 minutes. Apps are ok, but I can make better pizza at home. Nuff' said.
