I found Dr. Maehara online based on his reviews and was not disappointed. Dr. Maehara diagnosed me with cataracts and recommended surgery. He carefully explained every detail of the surgery and the options for lens replacements. Each eye surgery went out without a hitch and I can see much better than before. The doctor’s 2 assistants are well trained, professional, and very caring. The doctor’s office is conveniently located next to the Ala Moana mall with plenty of free parking. ***COOLEST EYE DOCTOR ON ISLAND!!!*** You want a doctor that has the experience, knowledge, and wisdom. This one has it all! Look no further. I had the PRK surgery and everything was executed flawlessly. Eyes are 20/20 now!
Dr. Maehara answered questions I had prior to the surgery. I was nervous just before the surgery, but during the surgery he coached me during the procedure and it put me at ease. There were some inconveniences such as the healing process, sensitivity to light, and eye dryness, however you take medical eye drops and go in for follow up visits.
