On initial visit she took x-rays of my hand and spent less than 2 minuets with me in the exam room. She said it was arthritis and gave me a splint. Totally useless visit. Dr Young was uncaring and would not listen to my concerns. I got a second opinion and saw another doctor. He quickly diagnosed an inflamed tendon. He injected it with steroids and sent me to PT.
Money hungry Quick to schedule surgery, Does it need to be done ?No the infection is gone and under control very obvious the only thing this woman is practicing is her billing and invoicing very unprofessional, do all the research you can learn how to read people's faces, 4 opinion's is not enough anymore good luck finding a professional
Had wrist pain for a while and made an appointment to see the first available doctor in Columbia, Sc area. I was given an X-ray first. She came in, did not ask much and then give me prescription to take painkiller for half a year. The total time spent is less than 5 minutes. Not a caring and knowledgeable doctor. I wouldn't recommend her to others.
Doesn't listen to patients. She read the X-ray and made up her mind before entering the exam room. Said it was rheumatoid arthritis. I tried to tell her it wasn't, but she refused to listen and told me to see Rheumatologist, who did ultrasound and diagnosed tendon was out of sheath, causing numbness and pain. Definitely would not recommend this doctor until she learns to listen to her patients.
Dr. Young did surgery on my wrist and I had excellent occupational therapy and recovery. Very pleased with Dr. Young and her staff.
She was wonderful! I saw her after breaking my wrist. She was very thorough with the exam and explained the break and need for surgery. She was able to get me scheduled for the next day which I really appreciated. The surgery went well and I am now healing. I would recommend her to everyone.
Dr. Young has no idea what she is doing. She never gave me the report from my MRI/Arthrogram which states the problems. She also said there is nothing wrong with my wrist but the next step would be surgery. That was so confusing to me I started bringing my friend with me to my visits so I could have a witness to the incompetence. She is the worst doctor I have ever experienced.I would also like to point out when I didn't have anyone with me as a witness I was treated worse by her and her nurse.
Have tingling and numbness in first finger and thumb. Tested for carpal tunnel (even though I don't have normal symptoms for this) and didn't have it but have arthritis. I asked what could be causing the tingling in my hand and she just shrugged her shoulders. She did not seem to care. Won't be going back.
