Madres Cocina Good food with good prices, especially on "special nights" Small restraurant, but we never stand in line for long. At times the service has been slow, but this place is always full.
Madres Cocina is OK I have only eaten there on one occasion, with a friend asking me to try the food, it was OK and probably will eat there again if asked by my Friend, but if I'm then one choosing where to eat good Mexican food it would be another place.
Madres Cocina is ok Madre's isn't bad, but it hasn't left a memorable mark for me. I have to admit that I often forget it is here. The food was good, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't horrid, either.
Mexican Food Madres Cocina is ok. Food is ok and atmosphere is ok. Prices are reasonable. There are not many good Mexican Restaurants to choose from in Forney, so I would say this is one of the better ones.
Great food, ok service This is a locally owned and operated Mexican food restaurant that boasts of great food. The food is exceptionally well and the nightly specials are excellent bargains. However, the wait staff is not consistant in friendliness and customer service. We have left on several occassions and felt as if we were treated minimal in the customer service area. Discovered this restaurant on accident and was pleased to discover that the food was really good! Not the "best" Mexican restaurant in the world, but pretty damn good in their own right. Ample portions. Very tasty tortillas. GREAT rice and refried beans! Great service and very reasonably priced. If you are looking for something new, check it out! Their chips and salsa are outstanding as well!
