Rude to paying customers, never again. I wish I could give this business no stars. I am shocked by the unprofessionalism of the shop's owner, Ned. My son brought his bird in to get his nails and wings clipped. The shop charges $10 for each service. My son had a $20, so Ned, after yelling at my son, told him he owed him $1.40. I have researched different pet shops, the most shops charge is $13 in total. Irregardless, Ned's behavior towards a PAYING customer was uncalled for. Great Store This is a fantastic store! The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me choose the right food for my growing puppy. The prices are less than the chain stores. I won't go anywhere else from now on!

Simply Great! Am surprised by the negative review. We wander in here all the time just to look at the fish or small pets (hamsters, birds, lizards, etc). If I ever want to add a fish to my aquarium, this is my go-to store. I've never had a problem with any of their fish, not once. They also have a great selection of high ends foods for our dog and cats and prices are right on with the larger chains, but with great service. A personal story... I started going to the Madison Pet Shop a few years ago when one of my cats was continually vomiting everything we fed her. We had been giving her Fancy Feast, which we've since come to find out is pretty unhealthy. The vet recommended Science Diet, but she had problems with that too (and she didn't like it). Always a winner in my eyes!!! I have been dealing with Ned and his staff since I moved into town 12 years ago. He has the best selection of QUALITY of dog, cockatiel and guinea pig food and supplies. A great knowledgeable staff will answer any and all of your questions. I couldn't have asked for a better local pet shop.
Very Rude Staff SO Rude - went in a few times with my daughter to look around and while we did not buy a pet or any supplies we were made to feel a little less than for not buying. Would NEVER shop here due to rude vibes sent our way. Would rather drive out of my to PetCo pets on route 10 - which is much nicer anyway. Normally I love to support local - POLITE local
Best in the Area Amazing selection and kindest services you will find. Have gone out of their way to accommodate my individual needs, been friendly and helpful. Would never shop anywhere else for my kitten!
Madison Pet Shop is great.. Extensive selection of premium/ organic dog food that you cant find at the large chains. You can almost find any type of high end dog food there (e.g. innova, orijen, evangers, etc.)
