This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor. He told me to ignore and just accept the pain caused by my genetic condition (frequent dislocations, sublaxations and chronic joint pain). He told me just "don't think about it" and not to do anything about it. He offered no advice or plan of care to spare my body and further pain and joint damage. I wasn't there for pain meds but felt as if he was accusing me of it! I know my body. I know my pain. He disregarded it all.

Dr. Yakkanti performed shoulder and hip surgery on my 84 yr old mother after a fall , I cannot thank him enough . She is doing very good . I am so thankful he was on call when she came into the ER .
Procedure experience was as stated by Dr Yakkanti. Team, timing and immediate post-recovery experience was impeccable. Very satisfied as of 5 hr post procedure.

After a traumatic sledding accident & a type 6 Schatzker’s Tibial plateau fracture in January, I had an external fixation surgery, followed by an internal reduction. As a former PT, when I saw my X-rays and understood the complexity of my fractures, I called every doctor and PT for advice on the best Surgeon. Suggested by all, He has great bedside manner; attention to detail with setting expectations for the surgery and outcomes. He put a crushed bone back together! ?? I have 152 deg flexion!
Dr. Yakkanti is so very good at explaining clearly at our first meeting with him the problem with my hip ( when I kept insisting that my pain was in my knee and not my hip!) and continued keeping me fully informed of every step in pre-op preparation, surgery, and throughout healing and therapy. He was correct. After my hip was replaced I no longer had knee pain!
I have had cortisone shots to treat arthritis for many years and for many joints. Dr Yukanti was the first orthopedist to explain the procedure so well. His method of administering the shots was excellent and stress-free and almost pain free! His bedside manner is superb. He listens, remembers and makes suggestions based on your overall health issues. It's clear he is ahead of most in his use of technology in the running of his practice. I highly recommend him as a knee specialist.
Dr. Yakkanti has been very professional through my whole surgical process. He answered all questions, without making me feel rushed. Called me personally to discuss the upcoming surgery. My experience has been very positive. Its been 2 weeks since I had my left hip replaced. My incision is healing as expected and I've resumed most normal activities. I will probably need my other hip replaced in the future. I will definitely use Dr. Yakkanti's services again.
