Madame Tussauds Outside of the fact that it is rediculously expensive for what it is Madame Tussauds still is a fun place to visit. Save your visit for when you have a friend from out of town and then head down and tourist out. Bring a camera as you will end up wanting to take pictures even if you aren't normaly a picture taker. PROS: Fun CONS: Expensive
House of Wax Yes Virginia there is a was museum and it's not all that. The exhibits are boring and it's way too short. Plus the admission price is ridiculous. It's over $25 just to see famous people in wax figures! Stick with taking your picture with the wax figure of Samuel L. Jackson that's standing outside. It's free and it will give you a good laugh.
Really awesome! Although a bit scary to kids! I loved it! Although it scared my son a little - some of the figures were SO life like... I half expected to see the rise and fall of their chest cavities!
A sign of New York's decay New York used to be a city like no other. People came here from all over the world to see the things they couldn't see anywhere else. And the people who lived here owned the city - they were the ones that made it what it is through the sheer power of their personalities. New York had a magic, a history and a character of its own. That's all long gone. The city is slowly turning into Disneyworld Jr. It is built less and less for the people who live here (in fact, does ANYONE live in Manhattan anymor... read more
Don't assume anyone you look at is real! The wax figures here are incredible, and the way they are mixed in with the visiting crowds will absolutely have you doing a double take to see if they are real or not. Inevitably, some jokers will try and pose and pretend to be a wax figure just to scare you - enjoy and laugh as it's part of the experience!
As real as can be The wax figures here are so lifelike. People would wait for the wax tourist to finish taking a picture before realizing that it is wax. The best part about this museum is that you can go right up to the wa figures and touch them or pose with them. Make sure you bring your camera. You want to get your pictue with the wax figures. There are some new interactive wax figures that can blush (J Lo) or roll their eyes (Simon Cowell). The only drawback here is the price (about $30 for adults). However, you can get ... read more
Prices are high Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is a lot of fun -- the wax statues are so real, it's incredible. People of all ages will enjoy this place -- both kids and adults. There are celebrities, politicians, historical figures -- all created with lifelike features. It is centrally located -- right in the middle of Times Square. I just wish the admission prices weren't so expensive. I've had a lot of out of town visitors who would have loved to go -- but the high prices just didn't seem worth it when there is so much else ... read more
Wax figures, What a concept! I've been to Madam Tussauds Wax museum in New York and in London and while both feature celebrities made out of wax, this one in Times Square seems a bit bigger and more outragious..It's almost scary how lifelike these figures are..One of my favorite things to do is take photos standing near one or more of the figures as if engaging in conversation...It's fun to show the photos off when I get home without an explanation as to how and where the picture was taken..:) PROS: Fun and interesting place... read more
Incredible and must go We had so much fun. The figures are amazing and so lifelike. We ended the entire tour with karaoke. With 23 high schoolers and 3 chaparones, it couldn't have been more fun!
