Loved the views of the bay and shores. The narrator was excellent and captivating.

Best way to spend an hour and a half in Eureka for a very reasonable price. Smooth ride all around the bay, accompanied by an interpretive narrative that dives deep into local history, commerce, fun facts, and insights into everything from Wiyot culture to oyster production. Lots of pelicans, harbor seals, double-crested cormorants, bitterns, egrets, herons. We did the basic tour on the very last day of the season; there are also sunset cruises that sell out quick + birdwatching-wildlife tours.

It was nice, but we booked the wildlife cruise and expected the wildlife to be the main focus of the narration. However, the captain mostly talked about commercial fishing and other industry in the bay. They only pointed out one type of bird (and didnt even say which species it was), which was really disappointing considering that the sign at the ticket booth called it a "birdwatching tour". I had a nice time but I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're actually interested in learning about the local wildlife or ecology.
