This was our first time here with another couple and we could not have been more pleased!! The service was incredible and the food was even better!! The Goat Cheese Pillows were HEAVEN and my companions all agreed that their appetizers - the Roasted Garlic Plate, Spiced Watermelon and Garlic Shrimp were excellent. Our entrees - the Crab Cakes and Black (not blackened!) Grouper were also amazing. But it was the dessert - the Creme Brulee and Kirk’s Cheesecake that made our night! Our experience at Mad Hatter was superb. Once we went down the rabbit hole, we were treated like royalty! It was our 40th wedding anniversary celebration dinner and the staff took extra care... a window table overlooking the ocean, a rose on the table, attentive wait staff, a special appetizer from the chef... from the wine to the candle-lit dessert, the food was delicious! We highly recommend this intimate setting.

It’s our by far top restaurant choice. Superior food, we have tried just about everything on the menu, services is outstanding, view on the beach and sunsets are amazing. Very intimate, seats only 60 paces your reservation so you are not rushed and when you walk out if there with your belly full I guarantee you will be thinking about when you want to come back again...last words.....to die for cheesecake!
Creative, delicious food. Friendly service. Fantastic sunset views.Elegant dining. We are so glad we found this restaurant. Definitely a must do on Sanibel.
