History: In 1954, Robert graduated from high school and chose to stay on the farm to help his dad. Together they began planting apples and peaches on 15 more acres of ground. They also built an 8000 bushel cold storage to help preserve the quality and freshness of the fruit harvested and sold on the farm and to wholesale outlets. When we got here, they had closed the u-pick apples but that was not posted or anything anywhere.
We attempted to go Apple picking today and were sad to see a sign that said they weren’t doing it anymore this year. There was absolutely no social distancing enforced inside of the market and people weren’t wearing masks. I understand it’s Fall and everyone wants to go do fall activities, but there needed to be better enforcement and a post about the apple picking not continuing in 2020.
