We had our "girls night out" there tonight and it was incredible. Our server was kind and patient with us...we're slow to decide what we want to order :o) The food was Excellent...you should try the Lobster Mac and Cheese (be ready to share because it's a big dish meant for sharing). Great food - hidden gem! – I love Macke's and have been several times. The food is always delicious - high quality, fresh/in season veggies, perfectly prepared. The service is very attentive - and you should be sure to save room from dessert. I even had one of the owners stop by and chat last time we were there! Very friendly, charming and yummy! Great for a girls night out, date night or just to treat yourself.

Terrific Food & Elegant, Unpretentious Atmosphere – This place would be a welcome addition to the restaurant scene anywhere. I was taken here by an old friend and was blown away by the food. I played it safe and ordered filet mignon, which was aged and perfectly prepared (rare). My companions had filleted trout and ... dang, I can't remember what else... but it was all terrific. Best Kept Secret In Green Hills – After a three week search for the perfect venue to host a 90th birthday celebration for my father's closest friends and family, I happened upon Macke's while searching for another restaurant using City Search. Upon reading the restaurant information, I decided to call and then to visit. From beginning to end, every contact was delightful and professional. Over the Top – I went back to Mackes to dine and found that they have changed the menu and was fortunate enough to try the new menu on the second night out. The food was over the top, the new chef seems to have settled in to a style of cooking unlike any other in the city of Nashville. His dishes are authentic and well thought out. A wonderful dining experience. Highly reccommended.
Excellent!!!! – We had dinner on Saturday night at this great intimate restaurant. The atomsphere was exceptional and the food was the best we have had in this city. The chef has captured the essence of Southern gourmet. Stick around Mackes we will be seeing alot of you!!!
I LOVE this place. – I've had dinner here 4 times in August. The food and the atmosphere are the best. The fresh est ingredients (especially the seafood) and everything is made with love. FRIED COLLARD GREENS? They come with the corn-encrusted grouper and heirloom tomato vinagrette. Also, with the crab cakes (which beat any crab cake on the Chesapeake Bay). This place is top notch.
Surprising find – My wife and I were delightfully surprised at our latest find among the culinary establishments residing in the fair city of Green Hills. We live in Hendersonville and spend our date nights sampling restaurants we have never visited. Macke's is absolutely at the top of our list.
