The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees. They are recently under new rennovations. The layout was welcoming and their cinnamon buns are delicious as always!
Great place for a large party. We had 8 people on graduation weekend and got very good food and fast, courteous service.
Excellent alcohol, amazing scene for families & college kids alike. Food is amazing but it may take awhile

The waitstaff was pretty slow, nachos where cold, never got silverware, food came out in a weird order, wrong food, weird tasting water, but the waitress was cute
