The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees. Love this place so much! Great for lunch or casual dinner with friends.
Great digs, amazing food (the titanic and big city jazz rock), just beware that for drink specials they consider some domestics to be "premium domestics" that do not go on special.
Sit at the bar. Have a schooner of beer. Then, get a schooner of ice cream. Yes, you're in schooner paradise.
While the wings are cheap on Monday's, they aren't good at all.
