My iPad won’t power on and Apple tried everything they knew to do over the phone. They told me to get with Mac Resource. Just called to get some info and see what my next step was. The guy i talked with was super rude, acted completely uninterested in helping me and extremely condescending. He never once asked me a question just said we will send it off for repairs. Hi Lora, sorry you feel this way and the experience you received. But I understand your frustration and let me explain that iPads are not like computers. Since all iPads are glued together they cannot be disassembled and repaired like computers. We are an iPad authorized warranty center and Apple allows us to do warranty repair on iPads, but they require us to ship the iPads to them and allow them to repair them. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They returned my computer in a fraction of the time they originally said and for less money!
I had to schedule an appointment for a new battery and (trying to be a small business supporter) I told the lady at Apple I would prefer to use MacResource instead of the Apple store at Bridge Street. Lets just say she advised me to use the Apple store or BestBuy.
Went in today to see about repairing my iPhone. They wouldn't look to see what the issue was, which wasn't a huge deal, but said they would send it off for a week and IF they found the problem I would be sent a new phone God knows when. Told me there was no way to save my data is lose everything. Also said that without an appointment Apple wouldn't see me today cause they're full. And even if I went there I'd lose all my data. Absolutely the best Mac store for sales or service that I've found anywhere. I've relied on Larry Stram, Eric and the Mac Resource crew many times over 15 years -- and they've taken excellent care of my problem, each time. It's why I drive from Tuscaloosa just to do biz with them. You don't find many businesses that operate like this one, and I'm glad I found them.
