This is my story at MAA Fifty-One. We rented for a year, I can't fault it, it's a nice place to live and it's quiet. So we decided to move last month to MAA too but in Jacksonville Fl. So before moving, everything had to be paid or what other fees had to be paid, so the manager told me I had to pay $200 for them to clean the apartment and then a week later charge me again $125. Ruuuun do not stay at these Apts. They have bugs (Roaches) and they are outdated. The front staff is no help at all when you have an emergency. They will try and show you a good unit before you move in and then give you the unit with the most issues. Had to get oven, dishwasher and hvac replaced in these units. Had to deal with mold and from time to time cigarette smell. They are not luxury at all as they try to claim. Overcharged me for short months, continued to charge me the renters insurance and pass off the blame to another company… HUGE bug infestation. They said they would add me to a spray list… I worked from home a lot… never saw them there. My neighbors downstairs and from whole other building said they share the same problem.
