Buying and building a home is one of the most stressful challenges one can take in. It definitely helps to have an advocate on your side. Owned the home for 4 years and recently noticed a gas smell under the stovetop. Duke technician verified a leak on a fitting that is inside and under a cabinet base. The pipe was so loose you could twist it by hand. MI refuses to acknowledge this was an incorrect installation issue, and says it's not covered under their warranty. I had to call a plumber to fix it, and she says it doesn't come loose like this over time and that this would have never passed inspections when they do the pressure test. Super weird company to work with. Not transparent at all with vital information. Poorly run company and would not recommend working with these clowns.

Lack of communication and lack of courtesy. We made contact with mi homes to become a subcontractor and was met with an email from their office asking for more details. That was 1 year ago. Fast forward to today, we were asked to call two of their superintendents in which those calls were unmet. As a business owner, I make it a priority to communicate with whomever is trying to reach us. It's the right thing to do, not leave them in limbo if I started a conversation with them.

“Not everyone gets the opportunity to build a new home. So, when you do, you want the experience to be a positive one full of happy memories and exciting times. I am so glad that we chose to build with M/I Homes because our gorgeous new home is everything that I dreamed it would be, and it was built fast, at a price we could afford and with no negative experiences to throw a dark cloud over the memory of this time.
