Owner/Manager was beyond rude to me and my guests, scolding us for people in our party cancelling at the last minute. She continued on by telling us how she didn't want our group sitting around for hours (this was before we were even seated). The rest of the staff seemed pleasant and food was fine, but nothing to write home about. The "out of this world" bread pudding was mediocre... definitely not out of this world. Very tasty! Great menu and warm atmosphere. .. Absolutely a place like home. Love it
The service and food are exceptional! The chef is very creative. There are at least four types of French toast and many egg dishes.
There are any number of breakfast/lunch places in what I would call an slightly upscale price range in Chicago. Every time I try one of them my reaction is the same: For the same money I could have (and should have) eaten at M. Henry. I have yet to encounter any other restaurant of this type that can match them for consistently delicious food, pleasant ambiance and excellent service. I just don't bother trying anymore.
Best brunch on the northside! On weekends try the bread pudding for a warm fruit comfort.
