My child also had a transplant in the 1990s. We have always been treated well and the old staff was fantastic... always caring and ready to help. But my latest interactions with calling for assistance with meds, insurance... has been awful. I'm made to feel like they have better things to do... one call back I could tell the gal was doing the dishes and hardly had the time of day for me. Too bad. We used to feel confident in the team here but no longer.

Our son has been treated here for an organ transplant in 1999 and again in 2015. Fairview is an appropriate name on the scale of poor, fair, good, great, excellent. Overall, incredible nursing staff, but the systems they have in place inhibit the medical staff from actually caring for people. The UofM used to be a gold standard; this is mo longer the case. We have lost our trust based on experience and years of mediocrity. Please go elsewhere for your loved ones.
