M Bar is a pretty funny place! – I've been a few times, the food is decent enough, they pour a good drink, good service, nice staff and great decor. You kind of have to know what you are going there for as every night is different. I can tell you that the Kickstand Comedy show there is great every time. Last Thursday of the month, no cover, free parking and no drink minimum (there is a $10.00 food purchase required...I recommend the Pizza!). It's usually 5 or 6 comics telling funny stories, so not the same old stand up. Trac... read more

Cool little place – Great comedy here.
GREAT SHOW GREAT FOOD – I am always looking for a cool cabaret atmosphere in Los Angeles and it's not easy to find. M Bar has it. It's cozy with banquettes and red velvet a la old time Hollywood. I like to have cocktails and nibble and this is the place to do it. The drinks were great, but the little nibbly things on the menu were awesome. I had the chicken pizza which was so delicious and the calamari. My friend had pasta which he constantly raves about. What impressed me the most was the show. We saw this trio of comics ca... read more
Fun Place - Waitstaff very welcoming and friendly – We had a salad with seared Ahi and a Pizza. The other person must have been there on a bad night because the Pizza was good. My boyfriend is a Pizza snob and he enjoyed it. They brought our food late and to make up for it they gave us free drinks & dessert. Karaoke on Tuesday night sounds fun - we'll be back!
Eclectic, Trendy and Entertaining – We found Cafe M to be delightfully entertaining and especially enjoyed Cashino and Comedy nights. The performers are extraordinarily gifted and talented professionals and the shows are impeccably professional. The food is delicious - the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables is fantastic, my husband had the grilled salmon and our friends and son had the ravioli, Chicken Marsala, grilled shrimp with fettucini, and Chicken Rosemary, all delicious, and the service was exce... read more
This hip Hollywood boite is more about the mood than the food. – The Scene According to owner-actor Joe Reynolds, the "M" stands for music, martinis and mangia (Italian for "eat"). Enter through red velvet drapes to find a speakeasy-like interior dripping in dramatic red, from the vinyl booths to the server's micro-miniskirt. The crowd is eclectic and the mood is bohemian--low lighting, high artistic vibe. The Food The simple, casual Italian fare is almost an afterthought. Like the live performances on certain evenings, it r... read more
SAVE YOURSELF, DON'T GO! – Oh goodness... we go to different spots every friday night and this was HANDS DOWN, the worst place i've ever been to. they don't tell you over the phone that there is a $10 cover charge just to eat dinner, once inside they were out of the first 3 items we tried to order (caprese salad, chicken fingers and skirt steak skewers) the server was irritated that we couldn't "decide" what we wanted and the show, was the most painful torturous thing you could ever subject anyone to. it was so loud and so m... read more
a bit of a disaster – OK, I'll hand it to them. It's a great idea. And the pizza is really good. But it's downhill from there. The environment is cheezy -- you can tell it was done on a budget. Once the music starts, it's impossible to talk, so you just stuff your face and hope the guest singers are good (I enjoyed the two that performed when I was there, but my friends found them unbarable and had to go outside because the volume was so loud). But, ugh, the burlesque show? I was expecting something really great and polished... read more
