Extremely rude & sarcastic, told me my answers to his questions were "wrong", put words in my mouth & refused to clarify questions when I politely asked him to. It was perhaps the most bizarre interaction I've ever had with a mental health practitioner, and based on his lack of self awareness & aggressive demeanor toward patients, I'm shocked this man was able to achieve a degree in this field.
The appointment was like 10 minutes, my first and last time seeing him, and he asked me hardly anything about my background. He was sarcastic and rude. I wouldn't want anyone with issues like mine to see a Dr like him, I didn't want to pay 200 just to cry after an appointment.
Like everyone else said, he acted like I was an inconvenience.
Based off my first appointment I would say he was pretty thorough. He asked me a lot of background questions, helped me figure out which meds to be put on, answered all my questions and even offered to answer more. I can see how people would think he was a little rough, but I think many good Dr’s are. They want facts. He listened, made eye contact, etc. Psychiatrist don’t listen to your problems, that’s what Therapists are for. I think I’ll keep seeing him.
Dr. Lynx made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. He didn’t seem to enjoy explaining anything and wasn’t personable at all. He was rude, abrupt, sarcastic and snarky. I get the impression he’s tired of doing what he does for a living. For someone like me who really wanted help, this place left me feeling like a lost cause.
I was very excited to meet Dr Lynx and our visit went very well! I’ve been on waiting lists for Months with several providers; yet I quickly got an appt, and his practice offered TeleHealth, so I took advantage of that convenience. His staff is very communicative, exceptionally helpful & quite friendly. Dr Lynx was not at all what I expected! He never acted impatient or rushed, he listened to me and actually talked to me like a human. I felt very positive after the visit and look forward to the next appointment. I almost for... read more
I'm surprised by all of the positive feedback. Incompetent, argumentative and inexperienced are great ways to describe this guy. Not sure how the state let him slip through the cracks. Proves that any MD can practice psychiatry.
Some of you may think that he is a little rough around the edges and at first glance so did I. I feel completely comfortable discussing my treatment options and moreover, he offers me the ability to feel empowered to take part in my treatment plan. Dr. Lynx has proven that he has my best interest at heart. I have been a client of Dr. Lynx for 10 months. The roller coaster stops here! I highly recommend Dr. Matthew Lynx. I am so grateful to have him in my life. 500 characters just isn't enough,
Terrible. He either lied about receiving my medical history or was too lazy to actually look at it. I only made the appointment to continue a prescription I'm already on, which he would have known had he actually taken the time to look at my information. He repeatedly rolled his eyes while I was explaining my situation. Unprofessional & calloused. Panic disorder & going through a surgery for precancer. He refused to answer calls from family trying to help. Left feeling more hopeless & suicidal.
