Came in today with my son and this room was filthy. He came in with a open wound at 5am and was left in this filthy room till a little after 11 this morning. Dirty linen bag FULL so that shows that this room hasn't been emptied probably in days as you can tell by these pictures. Other peoples personal items were there too. Didn't even give my son crutches. If you can avoid this hospital Please do. I wish I could give NO stars.
Only the one star for the doctor that FINALLY saw my daughter and was kind to her. DAUGHTER WAITED IN TRIAGE, IN A CHAIR, IN THE HALLWAY, FOR 8 HOURS OVERNIGHT!!! Nurses/staff were inattentive to her needs and throughout the wee hours of the morning, literally NOONE was to be found to help her find out what was going on. It was like she was there alone. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, as a parent several hours away, by this experience. Some serious work needs to be done in this ER. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE !!
Brought my bf here and had to wait 3-4 hours just to get blood drawn, not including a doctor or medication. Some front desk is nice but others don’t care about your well being. Not sure what the deal is here but they need to fix it.
Was sent to the ER to get a ultrasound arrived at 355pm check in great triage within 10 minutes then waited until 630 had the ultrasound done in 30 mins wheeled back to the waiting area at 7pm where I set till 1am saw the Dr was advised of test results and the actions needed to resolve the diagnosis. Most interaction with personnel was good with the exception of the person who was trying to facilitate my discharge at 130am he had a really crappy attitude
This place tried to discharge me without even seeing a doctor , I been at uva with problems and when I couldn’t get back there I came to lynchburg. For the last year they have not had my records equal across their network missing important POA and emergency details, my legal name was wrong , or they mix me up with a totally different patient.
