A former "regular", then a carless local I have remained loyal- they haven't. I missed an important doctor appointment. Then they hung up on me. Hello, Lyft, It's me, your new customer.
A trip from SFO to Stanford cost almost double the amount it should have: the meter showed $67, and the driver charged me $117!!! When I called to complain the owner was extremely rude and after not being able to explain where did the exaggerated amount come from - offered to refuted me $6... Will never use their services again. There are plenty honest drivers out there - no need to bring business to the ones that overcharge you.
Luxor is a great company. The management, staff and drivers are the best. I have been doing business with them since 1985.
We rode from Golden Gate visitors centre to Haight Ashbury yesterday (9/27/16) with the nicest and coolest driver ever. Matthew was 63, long grey hair in a ponytail and beard and regaled us with his wonderful stories of his life as a cab driver for 30 years. His also give us a guided tour of the neighbourhoods as we travelled and even gave us a few local tips. An absolute pleasure and joy to ride with you ,Matthew and an honour to have met you. While in our uber car a Luxor cab driver berated out driver. He called him a condom head and insulted us for standing up for the driver. The driver then proceeded to insult us as passengers. My husband and I are intelligent, and educated, and gainfully employed. I will never use this company. This is suppose to be a city that accepts all.
I used to work for Luxor and is the best taxi company in San Francisco I worked 12 years and They are good People
