Dr. Lutz has performed Mohs surgery on me on three different occasions. While two of these were completely successful, one on my face left me with swelling around the incision site that has not completely reduced 6 months later. I was told by Dr. Lutz to massage the site and the swelling would go away. It hasn't. When I saw him about a month ago for surgery on my leg, I pointed out the swelling. My dermatologist scheduled a consultation appointment with Dr Lutz office. I seen the Physician Assistant who advised me that the Dr may or may not be able to fit me in for procedure. I was given a prescription to have filled to take prior to procedure and told she would call on Monday or Tuesday following my Friday appointment. I did not receive a call and had to call back 3 times before being told they would not be able to fit me in their schedule.
Dr. Lutz has been our skin cancer specialist since 2008. His is an independent, one-doctor office with no affiliation with any conglomerate. He is extremely thorough in his routine diagnostic examinations. When surgery is necessary, he uses the MOHS method. Following surgery, we are in a private room waiting for examination of the tissue to assure that the cancer has been totally excised. Talented, comprehensive compassionate and experienced None better
I was sent to Dr. Lutz by my dermatologist, with confirmed Squamous Cell Carcinoma on my lower lip. I was a nervous wreck over anticipated pain and appearance (friends of mine in NYC had had horrific lip surgery experiences). Dr. Lutz put my mind to ease and even changed his schedule to handle my case right away. He was impressively empathetic and superb at explaining what he would do and how.
