This was the worst injury I’ve ever had from a nail salon. Not only did they cut the skin, but they cut into the nail as well. Then the nail tech asked me not to tell the boss, which put me in an uncomfortable situation. I asked for a discount and they gave me $10 off. I think that for an injury this gnarly, they should have offered more. I have had several positive experiences at this salon but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back. I get that mistakes happen, but how a business reacts to it is what matters.
Save your money. Paid $85 for a basic gel-x set and upon first glance they look fine, but after less than a week they are already lifting (I am not hard on my nails, they usually last 1 month+). The nail tech also damaged my natural nails by overfilling my side walls and did not use enough gel glue, so water is able to get underneath my nails which has led to the extensions lifting and my nails becoming soft underneath. Very professional, personal service! Glad I spent the extra $10 for the deluxe pedi. It’s worth it!
