My family and I loved it!!! Was here a long time ago. So glad we visited. Such an amazing place!! A must see!!
If u are traveling thru VA.wether it's coming from the north or south east or coming from the west u have to go see this amazing cavern! One word spectacular!

the caverns are large, colorful and well lit. unfortunately, our group had 50 to 75 unrelated people in the tour (e.g., not a "team" or private "group" event), and stretched throughout the cavern. as a result, we couldn't hear the speaker, see the formations pointed out or stop to take photos and enjoy the sights. for a more intimate experience, i recommend the nearby Skyline Caverns, instead. ask for Sonny.
Nicely appointed, underground Cavern; with professionally lit formations. Our Guide was quite knowledgeable.
My daughter, age 4, loves rocks and is always collecting them, so I thought why not take her to the cavern. She was speechless, and so was I. It was amazing and beautiful, esp the mirror lake. This is a must if you are into science or nature, or just love seeing the beauty of what God made. Still giving 5 stars for the sheer beauty, but the tour is kind of rushed and would love to have explored a little on my own. Early morning tour on a cold January morning was warmed by an astute guide and the unbelievable beauty of the caves. Warm in the caves and the price of the tour was well worth it. To find them open seven days a week all year round was a bonus. In awe of the beauty I only took a few photos.
It was very educational and beautiful. An unforgettable experience for my family and I.
