Do NOT eat here. Lupe’s is under new management. Per the manager tonight, takeout orders do not qualify for ANY chips or salsa because takeout patrons supposedly do not tip. I asked if the menu prices for takeout were cheaper and he indicated prices are the same and that they accommodate for the lack of “tips” by not including chips in any takeout orders. Twice today... both times had issues. Apparently new management has changed the rules!!! At lunch asked for half order of nachos- waiter brought full order and told me later half orders only allowed in the bar!! He did finally change my bill! Then tonight after dinner and a couple margaritas I asked for a cup of coffee (35 minutes BEFORE closing) and they refused to make a new pot because they had just thrown out the pot)-it was pouring down rain and we were waiting for it to let up and they basically sent us out to the pati... read more
Rude staff, did not give change ("We don't give coins"), extremely overpriced for food that looks like it was microwaved leftovers from a week ago. The food tastes awful, the portions are ridiculous when you consider how much you pay for them. The staff is useless. When I asked for a receipt, I recieved the tab that tells the cook what to make, but there was no price on the receipt. If you consider this restaurant, just go to Taco Bell instead - you'll get better service and better quality food.
The food and service at Lupe’s is consistently very good. Good food at a very reasonable price. We eat there often.
