My favorite – The service is mediocre and the restaurant is small, rickety and crowded. The food is the best. Best Fajitas, especially the Steak Lupe, and the beans and rice. I eat a lot of Texmex, and the few fajita dishes they make are the best. I don't know about the enchiladas and other stuff, but I doubt I will ever even try them. Oh, they have a playground for kids.
BEST IN TEXAS – You must try the beef fajitas! They are the best fajitas I have ever had. They also have great margaritas! I have eaten here since we moved to texas (14 years)! The downfalls are the small tables and the kids running all over the place.

Worth the Wait – I like taking out-of-town guests to Lupes to experience really excellent Tex-Mex. With friends, along with several Corona's or Margaritas, the inevitable wait is well worth it. All my friends rave about the fajitas, and overall dining experience. My wife and I truly enjoy the place, and would go back there much more often if not for the long waits for tables. Like McDonalds Playland... – The food is great, but beyond that the restaurant is not worth going to. The bar is small and the restaurant is too crowded. The tables are so close together you need to be a child to get around. And that is exactly what the place is full of, children. Not a bad thing, but definitely not the place to go on a date or business.
Soooo worth it! – What they say is true. Lupe's will make you wait, and they won't apologize for it. But baby, it's worth it. The fajitas are like nothing you have ever tasted before. FAB-U-LOUS, despite some downs – It's crowded, you have to wait forever to be seated(they don't take resevations), you'll be shoved into a too-small table elbow-to-elbow with tons of other people that you have to scream over to be heard-BUT...despite this, it is my absolute favorite restaurant!!! Great Fajitas and Ritas... – This is a great place for Fajitas and Ritas....the 'Ritas are absolute to die for... they might be small in size but the substance is what counts right? The service was mediocre but after a few 'ritas who cares right? Overall good value...
GOD BLESS LUPES!!!!!! – Unreal...that is the best way to describe lupes. The beef fajitas taste like heaven, and their chips and bean dip are to die for. I have been eating there since 1985, and now, at 21 (when I can also enjoy the grand margaritas), it is still my all time favorite place to go. Thank God for Lupes!
