If you want to look like a Clown or a Freak...this is the salon for you. – If you like Normal hair colors STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Right when I walked into the salon I was worried. There was not one single person in the place with a normal or pretty hair color....it was a freak show!!! There were several girls in there with Grey hair. Im sorry but young girls with white-grey hair is NOT attractive. Nor is purple-red hair that looks like it was dyed with coolaid. I LOVE YOU LUNATIC FRINGE BUT...... – I will no longer be able to get my hair done here. $230.00 is way to much to charge for a simple cut and color.
Too much $$$ for mediocrity – The only thing bigger than their prices here are their egos. The whole chain of lunatic fringe is pumped full of over priced mediocre children trying to do hair.
Big Marketing. Big Promise. Really Big Price. – I'm a consumer and I like well marketed products, but i found this salon a bit over the top. Great website, nice phone manners from the 'salon coordinator'. However, I was quoted base price of $150 for cut and color, about $25 more than i normally pay and well above the rates quoted on their web site. Great experience! – I made an appointment with David and I told him I wanted a trim and color. I wanted to go quite a bit darker than my natural hair color. I picked out a color from their chart and David advised me that it was way too dark for me. He picked a color that he thought would work well with my skin tone and eye color. most Amazing customer service & experience ever – I went to Lunatic Fringe by the sugarhouse park yesterday and it was the best experience i've ever had in a salon. As soon as i walked in I was greeted warmly and just by the looks of the place i knew i was in for a treat. I was right. The cute girl that did my hair gave me an amazing massage when she shampooed my hair in a special room with soft music. it was SO Relaxing! Poor Service & Over Priced – After visiting the Lunatic Fringe Website I decided to try it out. The website states the price for a women's haircut is $35-$55 depending on the experience of the stylist. I called to schedule an appointment and got right in. The salon staff was friendly but it was very noisy and cluttered. The stylist who cut my hair stated she had been there for almost 2 years so I expected a good hair cut. WOW! I look good! – I have very long, fine and curly hair, Cassie was able not only to cut my hair beautifully; but she also straight ironed it to perfection! I love the looks that I have left with after seeing Cassie, she listens to my request - not only for the cut - but also how I want to keep the style. (recomending the RIGHT product for my style too!) So worth every penny!
Good Customer Service – This was the first time I had ever been to a salon before. The ladies I spoke with were very nice and inviting. The girl who cut my hair did it exactly what I asked and didn't pressure me into doing or buying anything else. It was great! I was a little nervous and wished she would have talked to me a little more while she was working, but its no big deal. Everything turned out great!!
