Just had my second lunch here. Both times food was excellent. Service was good both times. Excellent salsa. Had $5.99 lunch combo with chicken enchilada, beef burrito, and rice. Very happy:-)
We went for dinner last night hoping to have one other Mexican restaurant we could go to that we liked. It was disappointing. There are 2 things that make or break a Mexican restaurant- good salsa and good margaritas- the salsa was ok, but not great- the chips not fresh, but at least warm when served. The house margarita tasted like grocery store mixer -too sweet and cheap tequila and not cold. A margarita should be served with lots of ice so it's very cold. Having been a server for Lunada (and eating the food every day) I would say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. Although new I find it one of the few Mexican restaurants that holds to tradition and family friendly environments. As for the greater Columbus area, you will not find a better, more authentic restaurant then the Lunada. Nor will you find more customer oriented service. I give the restaurant 5 Stars hands down. This place was actually one of the BEST MEXICAN PLACES I've been to in a long, long time. After Don Pablo closed, and El Vaquero failed to help vegetarians like me, going to Lunada was like going back to my home in the South. The Service was great, we were immediately greeted, and all our questions were answered with ease. The servers were extremely hospitable and we had no problems.
