I am a respite worker for LUK and enjoy working for them! I work with kids in the Boston metro area so don't really get to stay in the loop too much about all the stuff they have going on in the Fitchburg/Worcester area but when I was out that way for training I was very impressed by everything, My supervisor meets with me once a month but is always a phone call or text away if I need anything!!
LUK is very poorly managed, referrals for services take a very long time to result in services, and they are not very helpful when dealing with job and insurance changes both in terms of transparency with which insurance companies they will take and in terms of understanding/customer service.
I have worked with a Family Partner from LUK, for lil over 3 yrs now and I have to say, she is BEYOND AMAZING!!! Michelle Z, in Worcester Office, has been encouraging, and supportive in getting me to get other services for me and my son. She was patient with him and built a trust with him...THAT'S so HUGE!! And with me too...A huge help to me and helping me cope and learn better skills. I just had to say that, and thanks to ALL the staff that worked with us over the yrs..the ICC's!! But,especially Michelle!!! ���
