very dissapointed I was a patient of Doctor calderas and loved him dearly through my pregnancy when it came to the birth I ended up with a c-section was not happy but things happen then he had to do a cone biopsy and everything when completely wrong. I feel he left me down in anyway shape or form a doctor can let a patient down just thinking of my experience makes me cry and I was deeply affect it by it and so was my family. Realistic Mom Although Dr. Caldera seems to have good bedside manners during routine checkups, he is a mess when dealing with during labor and delivery. Also, his English skills were very basic therefore impending his ability to explain difficult procedures. A large Hispanic population seems to preffer this obstretician. I had extreme difficulties because my labor progress went ignored for the final week of gestation; in turn I ended up in labor for 3 days needing a stat c-section afterall because my babys heart beat was dow... read more
Luis Caldera-Nieves, M.D. - gynecologist and obstetrician Dr. Caldera-Nieves has been a part of the University of Miami School of Medicine clinical staff for more than 10 years. He is an excellent doctor, and well-respected teacher. He has great patient-doctor skills. His staff are efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Caldera-Nieves.
