This is perhaps one of the most delicious and innovative creations of pizza that we have ever experienced... Yum, we give Lucoli a 10, no question!! You must stop by Red Hook in Duchess County, NY to enjoy some of these amazing pizzas. Nobile, the chef owner, won't disappoint.
My friends and I found ourselves at Lucoli by chance. What a find!! We loved it so much, we went back the following week. I had the Verdura both times because it was so delicious - and definitely worth the ride!!
I was pleasently surprised at how good this was. It may be tucked back a little from the main highway, but take the time to search it out for a try. You'll be glad you did.
Consistently delicious! Awesome light, thin crust, fresh pizza that's not swimming in oil or weighed down by inferior rubbery mozzarella.
This is what old world food crafting is about. Watching Nobile create your pizza (Piccola) or your Lucoli with such care and tenderness....simple, elegant food that satisfies in an earthy and sophisticated way.
The Yorktown to Red Hook trip was complete with pizza as the prize! The "lucoli" an original pizza creation must not be missed. Get to Lucoli and see the magnificent oven Nobile has built., his fresh ingredients and a small location tucked back off the main street. The lucoli and pizza were superb, the crust,perfect! A best in my pizza journal!
Truly one of a kind. Excellent food and a caring owner. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!
