My experience has been so bad I can't even talk about it without getting emotional about it. Wasted two solid weeks of getting the run around all for the MRI/Radiology to tell me they couldn't do something. Sincerely feel it's a money grab/wanting me to exclusive use their network which is ridiculous because I was a cash pay. When dealing with children, these games should not be played.
- Drugs/medication: Doctors were quick to push administering opium and morphine for my son's pain rather than creating a recovery environment where he can get deep sleep so his body can repair. Encourage him to walk around, hydrate and eat for energy and blood flow. The only solution for his pain was to douse him with a plethora of drugs on top of all the antibiotics. Amazing hospital
We took time off from work, drove hundreds of miles, and spent thousands of dollars to bring our son to Stanford because we knew that the doctors there are among the best in the world. Apparently, the doctors know of their reputation too. However, there is a line between confidence and arrogance, and it's not particularly thin. Their level of technical expertise was amazing; their common sense and interpersonal skills were not.
