This is one of the several Luchitas locations in Cleveland and surrounding areas. It was founded in 1981and still maintains its family-style feeling. It has an upscale ambiance and is rather popular (so be prepared to wait for a table). The menu changes every three months, so be on the look out for new dishes. Be sure to try their signature Nachos Luchitas, Ceviche de Camarón y Calamar (calamari and shrimp), and regional tamales that change daily. They also offer a cantina to quench any thirst; the margaritas come hig... read more

NOT GOOD. Went here with a Groupon (given to us as a gift) and we supposedly got $58 of food for $29 I think what we actually got was $15 worth of food. The service was terrible and the inside of this place is just old and gross. No music playing - it sounds like a dining hall in there. Their 'Groupon' menu was a joke and they only had one vegetarian dish. We were also treated poorly once our waitress found out we had a Groupon. Our chips were stale and the waitress put the chip bowl on top of the salsa... when she removed i... read more
Worst Mexican Food Ever. Taco Bell is better. – I don't know if anyone else noticed this? But this place does not serve real Mexican food. It is actually the worst Mexican food I have had in my life, and tastes like any random person's first time attempt to make Mexican food. On top of that - it is ridiculously over priced for no good reason. The meat and everything else was dry and tasteless in their dishes, the rice tasted like Ponderous buffet rice, bland sauces, the portions are no bigger if not smaller than most Mexican... read more
Great Serivice Poor Quality – I've recently went to Luchitas hoping it would be a great Mexican food. However, I was sorely disappointed in the quality of food. The food I ordered had very little taste. You would think Mexican food would have alot of spices too it but it didn't. Service was great and people were friendly. Most people don't just go for the atmosphere. They ame for great food. Try Mariachi' or some other place. Luchitas is like a fast food Mexican restaurant.
Best Mexican Food in Cleveland – I can't believe some of the reviews. I have been going to Luchita's for 20 years. It's where I always ask to go to on my birthday. Great food and margarita's. The best salsa and red enchilada sauce around. Helpful hints, order the guacomole picado and ask for your margarita to be hand made.
Thumbs down – El Jalapenos is so much better! El Jalapenos has an amazing chile con queso appetizer as well as killer margaritas. There's much more seating and it's cheaper than Luchita's! Hands down, El Jalapeno's is the best mexican on the west side.
The Best Customer Service – Just arrived from O.C. and was hungry for mexican food. Friends in Parma recommended Luchitas. I have NEVER received such great customer service from a restaurant ANYWHERE! The manager gave us VIP treatment, making me feel like I wasn't just another tourist. He and his staff literally went above and beyond, making me feel as though I was a star! We were served plates of tender and delicious carne asada and carnitas, two types of flavorful rice and beans, fresh chips with mouth watering salsa, and ... read more
Highly Overrated – Weak mexicanish food. Tis a shame with so many good places available in the area that this psuedo-Mexican stuff wins the poll.
High Cost and Poor Taste – I was looking for good Mexican food in Cleveland for a good price. This is not what I found at this restaurant. First of all when I heard the cost of my total order, I almost could not believe it. I would have gladly paid this price, however, had the food not been bland and had I even been able to finish my entire dinner. Overall I was greatly disappointed in the experience and will not be going back.
Single-handedly popularizing Mexican cuisine in a city where chile was once just part of the weather forecast. – The Scene Getting in requires patience, as the Galindo family's cooking draws blue-blazered and chino-clad Clevelanders of all ages and ethnic persuasions. The fact that this international house of tamales sports a just-another-tavern exterior is part of the charm. The Food The menu changes every three months, so each visit feels pretty much like your first. Sometimes chef Rey Galindo brings back chicken in an esp... read more
