Our 9 month-old Goldendoodle puppy Mac ate or drink something nasty in Acadia National Park and we called 4 vets before finding that Lucerne would be able to treat our dog and perform possible foreign body removal surgery. We drove over an hour off Mount Desert Island for his care, but could not have been more pleased (and were so glad he didn't need surgery.). Dr. Sophie Borodic, DVM provided excellent care for Mac. I have never in my life seen such compassion at a vets office, and I can’t say enough good things about Lucerne and the employees. They’re patient, they listen to your questions and concerns and have always made time for our fur babies when it’s urgent in there busy schedule. I will never take our dogs anywhere else. ❤️
Super friendly staff and doing a fabulous job communicating thru this Corona Virus mess! Linus loves going there so that makes me happy!
They are always so accommodating, caring and compassionate; I can usually get our dog(s) into be seen within 24 hrs. They take a personal interest in our pets and when we bring one in, always ask about the other one at home! Also, extremely thoughtful; after our Baxter passed, we received a personal, hand written note from Dr. Borodic.
I am a regular as we have 2 dogs and did have a cat. Yesterday, I had to lay my cat to rest and Dr Monk and the front desk staff were so accommodating and tender hearted towards me and my sweet Finn. It was so reassuring to see how calm he was in his final moments. I also love how clean the facility always is and how quickly they get you in for an appointment if you need to be seen urgently. 5 stars all the way around <3
