Best Rental Housing in Ithaca I have lived in one of Lucente Homes houses for four years now and Iam an employee of Cornell University. I have nothing but good things to say about the agency. The landlords are the best in town and very very fair and reasonable with their tenants. They have a 24 hour emergency maintenance service and have wonderful people taking care of the upkeep of the houses. The landlord is very bad. he never returned the full deposit My friend told me that "I actually haven't got my deposit yet since I moved out in 2004. I am just sick and tired of their way of doing things." I also heard about a lot of other friends complaining about deducted deposit, I personally experienced that as well.
3 year renter I lived here for almost three years. I did have a problem at one point and am amazed in how they worked to solve it.
Lucente Homes is exceptional We have rented from Lucente Homes and Apartments for four years, and have been very pleased. The apartment we rent is a two bedroom two bath in a house with three other apartments located on a quiet street in the Northeast. A good deal I have lived in my apartment for 4 yrs. It was in excellent condition when I moved in. It is also in a quiet neighborhood with very good bus service. The maintenance has been excellent (a delight after having owned and cared for a house for 20 years). I have had several problems all of which have been taken care of very effectively. Looked and didnt like I have been looking for decent housing in the area--very tough date around here. Checked out some of Lucente's properties in Varna. They seem like a huge rip off. Almost 1300 a month for very small, limited amenities that did not seem well built. One of the units they showed me and my husband smelled awful! Maybe good landlords, I don't know, but we won't be giving them a chance.
