I really enjoy Lubys. I get the Luann Special. Sometimes, it's more than enough, sometimes not. Homemade fresh, and you see what you are getting. I started taking mine to go, as I do not like to sit alone. The hardest part is not getting dessert. The coconut cream pie, or the iltalian cake. oh so good.
Food was delicious and service was great per usual! ��
Ran out of chicken friend steak at 1pm. I asked the cashier if they would get more she had no clue. Seemed like she knew nothing about working there. She literally gave me 3 different answers she seemed to make up. Then she over charged me.

The mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy, the chicken was dried out and tough, the bread was hard but just alright and I wouldn't call that brown stuff gravy. I left most of the food on the plate!

They don't season their food anymore. Bland tasting mac & cheese, no broccoli cheese casserole. Fried fish was good but whatever happened to the great chicken salad and fruit salad? Should offer turkey and dressing everyday!
Bad experience at Luby's. First of all since they are not using steam tables anymore, their food temperture is luke warm at best. The mash potatoes are not soft and whipped, they are more like chunky potatoes . Their quality of food is poor. I will never return to eat at a Luby's. Waiting for the day that Cleburne cafeteria re opens again. Their quality and quantity is awesome, a little pricey but worth the money and they have steam tables which keep the food piping hot.
