Prettty Disappointing – Went there tonite with my boyfriend,. we have both worked in the food service industry for a combined total of about 18 years. Our server was very very polite, I think her name was Claire. Our food however was made with cheap ingredients and poorly created. We started out with the Calamari which has already gotten a pretty terrible review here on citysearch. Shamus12321, GeekLady and buchell profiles were all created by the owners in a FUTILE attempt to bolster their reputation through FAKE REVIEWS. If you click on their profile names, you will see that the only review in the history is for this joint. And the sad part is... the food used to be really good, and now, really, really bad stuff going on here!
Excellent Italian Food – I love this restaurante. I grew up in a suburb of New York City and I am accustomed to great italian eats. I can tell you right now that Lubrano's is the best italian food in the triangle. I have even served tables there for a period of time and I am close friends with the owner. Wow - this place has really gone downhill – I used to be a regular at Lubranos because I work nearby. However on my two recent visits I have been really disappointed. During my first visit, my soup was cold and stale and there was a black curly hair in it. The management waved me off when I tried to diplomatically explain (there was a crowd in there). Excellent food and service – The breads were freshly baked, the Caesar's salad was delicious, and the lasagna was as good as... well... my own homemade. Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us and refilled the tea drinkers glasses often. They also had a nice wine list and dessert selections.
Best kept secret! – Excellent!!! Italian food. Authentic taste and healthy portions. Staff and owner are very friendly and personable. Prices are cheaper than most italian restuarants. A must try. You'll be hooked like I am. A loyal customer for the last 6 years. Food is consistentely outstanding authentic. No chain food here!
Our favorite place for Italian food – Low carb, low salt, does not matter, they will cook to order and the food is delicious. Everything made from scratch. Reasonable priced house wines. A great mom and po place!
Whoa, what happened? – Man, i thought we had a good thing going here! As my previous review stated, the first four visits were great, (in so far as the food was concerned). But let me tell you, the last two visits were NOT GOOD! On our fifth visit, we ordered Calamari...it was so overcooked! We sent it back, the second batch was the same! Excellent independent Italian restaurant – In an unassuming strip shopping center in Morrisville is this very worthwhile mom and pop Italian restaurant. The interior is comfortable and inviting; service is excellent. Expect to wait on weekends and at peak lunch times, but the wait is worth it. The garlic knots sold at dinner are very nice, and the pasta dishes in general are recommended. Try the specials; I've never had a bad one. Very reasonably priced.
